WEYBURN – Update: RCMP say that their investigation determined a truck and semi collided. The driver of the truck was declared deceased at the scene. He has been identified as a 57-year-old male from the Carnduff area. His family has been notified.
The driver of the semi was transported to hospital by EMS with injuries described as non-life threatening.
Highway 39 was temporarily closed but has since been re-opened.
Original story: Weyburn RCMP are currently on the scene of a serious collision on Highway 39, approximately 11 kilometres southeast of Weyburn. As this investigation is in preliminary stages, RCMP say they don’t have additional details to share at this time.
The highway is currently closed for an undetermined amount of time. Detours are in place and motorists should expect delays in the area. Please slow down and follow the instructions of emergency personnel on scene.
