MOOSEJAWTODAY.COM -- Six days, 14 sports and close to 2,000 athletes battling for medals all along the way.
And in the end, the 2024 Saskatchewan Summer Games were once again an incredible success.
The massive week-long multi-sport event came to a close on Saturday as the second half of the Games handed out their final medals in Lloydminster, culminating with the closing ceremony in the evening.
Team Regina led from start to finish and finished atop the medal standings, racking up 54 gold, 29 silver and 28 bronze for 111 medals total. Saskatoon landed second with 31 gold, 36 silver and 28 bronze for 95 medals, while South West finished third with 16 gold, 13 silver and 16 bronze for 45 medals.
Rounding out the medal table were Parkland Valley (7G, 13S, 13B, 33T), Rivers West (2G, 11S, 13B, 26T), Prairie Central (8G, 8S, 8B, 24T), North (4G, 11S, 5B, 20T), Lakeland (3G, 9S, 8B, 20T) and South East (6G, 3S, 11B, 20T)
