MOOSE JAW - The votes have been counted, and in a somewhat tight election contest, the Sask. Party's Tim McLeod has been re-elected MLA for Moose Jaw North, keeping the riding in the Sask. Party's hands for another four years.
McLeod beat his Sask. NDP rival, Cheantelle Fisher, by 1,589 votes, and the Green Party's Kimberly Epp by 4,205 votes. Overall, the Sask. Party's McLeod received 4,350 total votes, the NDP's Fisher received 2,761 total votes and Epp received 145 total votes, based on 11 of 11 polls reporting in.
McLeod was first elected MLA of Moose Jaw North in 2020, after working in the private sector for years as a community lawyer. In August 2023, he was named the minister of mental health and addictions, seniors and rural and remote health.
