MOOSEJAWTODAY.COM -- Team Regina has taken a huge lead atop the Saskatchewan Summer Games medal standings as the second half of the multi-sport event begins in Lloydminster.
The province’s capital has racked up a total of 89 medals -- 45 gold, 20 silver and 24 bronze -- as a new slate of sports takes over the action. Saskatoon sits second with 17 gold, 31 silver and 19 bronze for 67 medals while thanks to a great showing in canoe/kayak, Team North is now third in medals with four gold, 11 silver and four bronze for 19 total.
Track and field, baseball, basketball, beach volleyball, female soccer and triathlon all began on Thursday, and here’s a look at medal results and ongoing competitions from the various events.
