City Hall transforms for annual light the lights

The holiday season ramped up in Regina with the 23rd annual Light the Lights, where Santa Claus even made an appearance.

REGINA - City Hall was transformed into a Christmas wonderland for the 23rd annual Light the Lights.

Hundreds of people gathered outside to countdown the lights being lit across the Queen Elizabeth II courtyard.

New Regina Mayor Chad Bachynski and many of the councillors were in attendance to help get the festivities underway, with several kids helping push the button to light up City Hall for the remainder of the holiday season.

The event includes local musicians, performers and activities that bring in the winter season. Children can enjoy a virtual colouring contest where the winner is selected at a later date for a prize.

Light the Lights runs from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
