Regina police arrest trio after shoplifting confrontation

A male suspect pulled out what seemed to be a gun, and two suspects fled in a vehicle.

REGINA - Three people were arrested in Regina Monday after an apparent weapon was pulled out during a shoplifting encounter.

Police responded to a business on the 4800 block of Gordon Road at 7 p.m., after reports of a shoplifting incident involving a firearm.

A man and two women were shoplifting when a loss prevention officer tried to arrest them. Then, the male suspect pulled out what seemed to be a gun, and two suspects fled in a vehicle.

Police arrested all three suspects later that evening. The 28-year-old man faces serious charges, including unauthorized possession of a firearm. A 19-year-old woman and a 34-year-old woman face shoplifting-related charges.
