Rent prices in Regina have risen over the last year

According to Rentals.ca, the average rent of three-bedroom apartments has risen by 20 per cent over the past month.

Despite the rising costs of rent, Regina is still one of the more affordable cities to live in across Canada.

The average rent for a one-bedroom apartment in Regina year-over-year has increased by 7 per cent, according to Rentals.ca.

In their report, the rental agency also notes that two-bedroom apartments have gone up by 2 per cent year-over-year, while three-bedroom apartments are up by 3 per cent in that same span.

While those spikes aren’t large, over the past 30 days alone, three-bedroom apartment costs have risen by 20 per cent, to nearly $2,000.

Regarding positive news for renters, there has been a dip in one-bedroom, two-bedroom and studio apartments over the past month. One and two-bedroom apartments are down by 5 per cent, while studio apartment costs have dropped by 2 per cent.

As of right now, the average rent for a one-bedroom in Regina is close to $1,300.
