REGINA - After experiencing temperatures feeling close to -40 C over the weekend, the City of Regina is expecting temperatures to rise in the coming days.
According to Environment Canada, Regina will see a high of -4 C on Wednesday. Temperatures are expected to continue hovering around that mark for the remainder of the week. The reason for the warm-up is air coming from the Pacific that will bring above-average temperatures to the prairies.
Some weather models also suggest the city could remain around these temperatures for a week before there is another cool-off.
On average, the daytime high for Regina in January is -11 C, which is the coldest month in the city.
