The warming bus will go from Carmichael Outreach on the 1500 block of 12th Ave., to All Nations Hope Network Awasiw Warming Centre, making stops along the way at the Salvation Army, the YWCA, and on 11th Avenue by Newo Yotina.
The bus operator as well as outreach and security staff will be on board the bus, which is being provided to offer a warm shelter space for people experiencing houselessness in Regina,
“The City is committed to the safety and well-being of everyone in our community, especially those experiencing houselessness. When temperatures drop to life-threatening lows, it’s critical to provide additional emergency measures like the warming bus,” said Dave Slater, Manager, Community Well-being, in a statement.
