Update: Weather-related collisions impact Saskatchewan

Saskatchewan RCMP has received multiple reports of jackknifed semis, including in the areas of Pense, Disley, east of Waldeck, east of Dafoe, and east of Regina near White City.

SASKATCHEWAN - Update, Nov. 19, 3:36 p.m.: Between 7 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on Nov. 19, Saskatchewan RCMP received 44 reports of motor vehicle collisions and incidents through the province. The most common of these incidents were vehicles in the ditch and jackknifed semis. No injuries have been reported to police at this time.

The southbound lanes of Highway 16 at Beam Road, northwest of Saskatoon, are currently closed. The northbound lanes of Highway 11, north of Bethune, are also closed.

Traffic delays, road closures, and detours are expected to continue for an undetermined amount of time. 

Original post, Nov. 19, 11:48 a.m.: Police advised Nov. 19 they continue to receive reports and respond to weather-related collisions and incidents throughout southern Saskatchewan.

Saskatchewan RCMP has received multiple reports of jackknifed semis, including in the areas of Pense, Disley, east of Waldeck, east of Dafoe, and east of Regina near White City. No injuries have been reported to police at this time. Traffic delays are to be expected in these areas and road closures/re-routing may be in place.
