They are talented and they are on the move!
Sacred Heart High School has its own rock band and they are making a positive impression everywhere they go.
Channel 22 just finished a performing tour with two performances in Russell and Virden, MB. The class has been going since 2005 and this year had an exceptionally high number of students audition and be accepted.
"We have two performances remaining," says teacher Rita Hilbig," "the Teachers Superannuation Supper where we honour too long-time Yorkton teachers, Lou Ellert and Mr. Monette (who was also a teacher with the band until his retirement), and our year-end concert which is on June 19 at Sacred Heart.
"We have also performed this year at all the Catholic Elementary Schools in Yorkton and Melville, at an activity day in Langenburg, and the YUMMY Conference in Yorkton held this spring.
"These kids are amazing ambassadors for our city and truly do give the younger children in our community a role model to look up to."
