CANORA - On Feb. 7 and 8, the 2025 ECDAA Curling Championships were held at the Yorkton Curling Club.
Among the teams advancing to regionals was the gold medal winning mixed rink from Canora. Team members are: Jordan Zbitniff (skip), Owen Ostafie (third), Josh Prychak (second), Merrick Derkatch (lead) and John Zbitniff (coach).
A total of 14 teams, 56 curlers, took part in the competition.
The seven schools represented were from: Canora, Sturgis, Kamsack, Melville, Esterhazy, and two Yorkton schools.
Regional curling playdowns are scheduled for Feb 28 to Mar 1 in Lampman. Canora players Jackson Palagian and Paisley Wolkowski, who were unavailable at districts, will be joining the Canora team at regionals.
