Preeceville Nursery School kicked off the new school year on September 15 with classes for the three year olds in the morning and four year olds in the afternoon. There are currently six three year olds registered and 12 students registered for the four-year-old class. Lori Newton is the teacher for both classes.

The school’s goal is for children to learn, interact with other children and have fun in a safe, controlled environment, said Newton. The school welcomes all drop-ins, whether it is for one day or for the month.

At the end of every year, the school provides a windup for the students where certificates are awarded, noting the achievements of the students.

Throughout the year, students are treated to various special events such as an annual Christmas party with Santa, a Valentine’s Day party and an Easter party. The classes offer a gym day to help increase and promote physical fitness in a fun environment.
