Kamsack Community Choir sings again

Performances included the entire choir singing songs like Sweet Caroline, a quartet, a trio and a solo performance from Susan Bear, the choir leader.

In no particular order, the Baritones for the concert were: Brad Cherkas, Kayode Bamigbola, Stan Stone, Florence Bielecki, and Rick Aikman; the Altos were, Linda Osachoff, Kathy Galye, and Melva Armstrong; the Sopranos wer, Arlene Smorodin, Audrey Horkoff, Deb Sears, Judy Stone, Milena Hollett, and Zennovia Duch; the Pianist for the performance was Deb Cottenie.

KAMSACK — The Kamsack Community Choir recently performed their “You Name It” concert, which was themed around songs that include a name in their title.

Performances included the entire choir singing songs like Sweet Caroline, a quartet singing Michael Row the Boat Ashore, a few songs featuring the trio of Susan Bear, Kathy Galye, and Zennovia Duch, as well as a solo performance from Susan Bear, the choir leader, singing Bad, Bad Leroy Brown.

At the end of the concert a performance of Oh Danny Boy, was dedicated to the late Sandra Nykolaishen, a former choir member and John Welykholowa, Susan Bear’s father.

Susan Bear put out the message of encouragement that, “Thank you all for attending our concerts and the choir is always looking for new members.”
