Yorkton Public Library

The Yorkton Public Library was once upon a time located in the historic building at 57 Broadway Street East featured here. This building was originally owned by Yorkton’s Merchant Prince Levi Beck and housed his “super store.” Today, it has been restored and houses Frameworks On Broadway. It was in 1960, that the Library moved to this building from the City Hall — the first Town Hall built in 1905, across the street from the current City Hall on Third Avenue North. In June of 1979, City Hall decided the library would relocate to the former Safeway Store at 93 Broadway West, where it still is today.
