MLJ Accounting Ltd., a new Preeceville business, offers bookkeeping and income tax services, including payrolls, for personal, corporate and farming clients. Owned by Heather Martian of Norquay, her business is located in the former Loranda's Hair Salon building and is open through the week except for Wednesdays.
She has a vast experience in the accounting field, previously working as an auditor for Revenue Canada for five years, Andritz for two years, Superior for 10 years and JH Public Warehouse for two years. She has also worked at a variety of accounting positions at the entry level.
She moved to Norquay when she bought Nygard Accounting on 2013.
"I have always wanted to own my own business and work for myself," said Martian. “When I bought the existing business it was not strong in the bookkeeping field and I hope to expand and grow that aspect. I expanded to Preeceville with the encouragement of some of my northern clients. They wanted me closer and what better way to expand than to establish my business into a different community. I am really looking forward to offering professional services to clients in the area."
