Three Kamsack residents took home the top three prizes at the 32nd annual Tolstoi Poker Derby held by the Kamsack Sno-Drifters snowmobile club.
Held March 12, the derby attracted 70 riders, said Gary Clark, club president. Competitors travelled a course of about 50 miles.
“Participation in the derby was down a bit; we could have used a bit more snow,” Clark said, regarding the melting temperatures on derby day.
Ted Gardner won the first prize; Eugene Remezoff, second, and Conrad Bodnarek, third.
