The Bob Lebo and Glenda Jeffrey team won the two-person, one-day stick bonspiel held at the Preeceville Curling Rink on January 22.
They defeated the Roy Fairburn and Joe Luciw pair in the A-event final. Mary Pasiechnik and Joe Yacyshyn topped the B event by defeating the team of Les Braithwaite and Phil Murrin.
The C event was a battle between the Pasiechniks as Perry and Laura Pasiechnik prevailed over Delmar and Dwayne Pasiechnik.
Stella Gulka, Mary Pasiechnik and Marj Bodnar operated the kitchen throughout the one-day event.
The Preeceville curling club purchased curling sticks recently with some of the curlers taking advantage to experience curling with a stick for the first time.
“The sticks have made it possible for curlers with knee and hip problems to continue with the sport,” said Joe Yacyshyn. “The club invites curlers to come out on Mondays for drop-in curling, especially now that sticks are available and are provided by the club,” he said.
