For the first time in a few years, the Canora Composite School has gotten together a senior boys volleyball team which was to play a home game against Kamsack Comprehensive Institute on October 17.
The team is led by coach Katherine LeBlanc, who says the boys have been working hard at practice and learning new rotations.
“For us, this is a team-building year,” she said.
The team has not organized many games or tournaments, as it is focusing on practicing for the spring volleyball season, but LeBlanc says the team is made up of a “fabulous group of young men” and is “something to watch for” come spring.
“We are looking forward to improving our skills and will be a strong team in the future.”
