“It’s a pretty fresh team,” said Alexis McGonigal, who coaches the team with Tracey Fedorchuk, alluding to the fact that many of the team members are new to the team. “We have developed a lot over a short time.
“The team leaves it all out on the floor, puts in lots of hard work and members exhibit a good commitment to the team.
“We’re excited for next year because the majority of the players are expected to return and we’ll only lose three, while this year we’ve lost six players from last year,” she said.
Members of the team are: Kaylie Bowes and Allison Thomsen, who are co-captains, and Laurissa Fedorchuk, Paige Sterzer, Shayla Cote, Allison Placatka, Mikayla Woloshyn, Lexie Tomochko, Bre Bland, Curyine Stonechild, Alexis Koroluk and Shani Bear.
