YORKTON - With a 3-1 home ice win over La Ronge Tuesday, the Yorkton Terriers have clinched an SJHL playoff spot.

The visitors actually started the scoring when Aiden Meintz scored for the Ice Wolves just 2:14 in. Little did LaRonge fans realize the powerplay effort would be the only goal of the opening period and their team’s only one on Westland Insurance Arena ice Tuesday.

There was only one goal in the second period too, an unassisted effort by Vinay Junek at 4:07 to knot things 1-1.

In the third period the goals came early with Jye Zawatsky putting the Terriers up 2-1 with the eventual game-winner at 2:35.

At 3:17 David Coyle added an insurance marker for the 3-1 Terrier win.
