Arrest made in Regina armed robbery

Police search warrant leads to suspect charged.

REGINA – Police were able to make an arrest in an attempted armed robbery that occurred Nov. 27, 2022. On that date, police were called to the 1100 block of Kramer Boulevard for an armed robbery in progress.

“The suspect entered a restaurant with his face covered and produced a firearm, and demanded money,” RPS said in a media release. “The male left without acquiring money before police arrived.”

Further investigation in the matter led to a 26-year-old male suspect, and police executed a search warrant on his residence on Jan. 26.

Darian Tracey Miles Bird of Regina was arrested and charged with robbery and using an imitation firearm during commission of an indictable offence.

Bird is scheduled to make an initial court appearance on Jan. 27.
