Deschambault Lake man charged with second-degree murder in teen's death

Deschambault Lake RCMP say that they got a call at about 11:15 p.m. on Oct. 1 about a report of an injured person on a street in Deschambault Lake. They found a deceased male youth.

LA RONGE – Tristan Custer, 27, of Deschambault Lake, has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of a 17-year-old youth on Oct. 1.

Custer was arrested by Sask. RCMP Major Crimes in Prince Albert on Oct. 10 and appears in La Ronge Provincial Court on Oct. 16.

Deschambault Lake RCMP say that they got a call at about 11:15 p.m. on Oct. 1 about a report of an injured person on a street in Deschambault Lake. They found a deceased male youth.

They went to a home in the community and arrested a female youth. She is charged with second-degree murder and appeared in La Ronge court on Oct. 4. She can't be identified in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act. 

Police also arrested a man on warrants from Deschambault Lake for charges including assault with a weapon. Police say he was suffering from injuries from a separate assault and was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
