LA RONGE – A La Ronge woman faces drug trafficking and weapons-related offences after La Ronge RCMP Crime Reduction Team (CRT) executed a search warrant at a home in La Ronge on Dec. 10 as part of a drug trafficking investigation.

Ernestine Roberts, 36, is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, possession of the proceeds of crime under $5,000, and possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose.

During the search, officers found approximately 23 grams of cocaine, approximately 0.5 grams of methamphetamine, a sum of cash, two BB handguns, and drug paraphernalia.

The BB guns were imitation semi-automatic pistols, which are impossible for police or citizens to distinguish the difference between the two types of guns from a distance, say RCMP.
