REGINA – A 33-year-old man appeared in Regina Provincial Court after an incident at the University of Regina on April 18.
At around 5:20 p.m., police were called to the school for a report of a man "hiding in a storage closet in one of the classrooms where children were present."
"The male exited the closet causing a disturbance in the classroom and then locked himself in a nearby washroom," said RPS in a media release.
Security at the school helped officers to access the washroom so they could arrest him.
Escorted by guards into the prisoner's box, Phillip Squire appeared in court on April 19 - facing charges of causing a disturbance, failure to comply with conditions (not to consume or possess alcohol or drugs), and three breaches of probation (keep the peace and be of good behaviour).
The Crown was opposed to Squire's release, and his matters will next be dealt with on April 26.
