LLOYDMINSTER, Sask. – A known high-ranking street gang member is facing charges of committing robbery for a criminal organization, the Westside Outlawz.
Jesse Eric Dillon, 32, had an appearance scheduled in Lloydminster Provincial Court July 5. Crown Prosecutor Kiltie Coupar waived Dillon's attendance and he was remanded by consent of the Crown and defence counsel Jonathan Bodvarson. Judge Kim Young adjourned the matter to July 19 for a show cause hearing when Dillon is expected to appear by CCTV from the correctional centre.
Court documents show that Onion Lake RCMP charged Dillon on Feb. 6 with using a shotgun to rob a man for the benefit of the Westside Outlawz street gang. He allegedly stole two cell phones and a wallet. Dillon is also charged with having an imitation handgun on him at the time of the robbery.
Terrance Stonechild is the "king" of Westside Outlawz, which had its origins on Onion Lake Cree Nation.
