PA family looking for answers in historic homicide

Jean LaChance was last seen alive on Sept. 14, 1991, police say.

PRINCE ALBERT – For more than 30 years, family of Jean LaChance have been searching for answers.

A renewed call for information in her unsolved death is prompting the public to come forward.

"Our family is getting older, specifically our aunt, who has been looking for closure for over 30 years," said a statement from the family of LaChance. "She hopes to find closure in her lifetime. Please come forward and help the family heal. There is room for forgiveness. There are many ways to come forward including an anonymous tip or calling police. We really hope you can do the right thing."

On Sept. 14, 1991 at around 2 a.m. was the last time anyone has seen LaChance. She was in the 3500 block of Second Avenue West. Her body was found a day later in a wooded area south of Victoria Hospital.

LaChance was 29 at the time and had five children, who are now adults.
