Prince Albert police to conduct enhanced traffic enforcement

Police encourage the public to familiarize themselves with all school zones across the city. Reduced speeds are essential in ensuring the safety of all children as they return to school.

PRINCE ALBERT - The Prince Albert Police Service will be conducting enhanced traffic enforcement during the week of Sept. 5 – 8.

With students returning to school, police will focus their efforts in designated school zones across the city. Police would also like to remind the public of the following four new school zones for the duration of 2023/24 school year.

· River St East – Riverside School

· 4th St East – Princess Margaret School

· 6th Ave West – Ecole St Anne School

· 15th St West – Queen Mary School

School Zones come into effect Sept. 1 and remain until June 30 of the following year. The maximum speed in any school zone across the City of Prince Albert is 30 km/hr from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m, Monday – Friday. It is also important to note that U-Turns are also prohibited in all school zones during the same time period.

Police encourage the public to familiarize themselves with all school zones across the city. Reduced speeds are essential in ensuring the safety of all children as they return to school.
