REGINA – A 32-year-old Regina man is facing multiple weapons charges after police responded to a report of a break and enter on May 12.
The call came to police at 1:15 p.m., when they attended to the 2100 block of Hamilton Street.
"Police arrived on scene and knocked on the insecure door causing it to open," said RPS in a media release. "Upon the door opening, police observed a male directly inside, sitting on a chair with a sawed off shotgun at his feet. Police challenged the male and he was taken into custody without incident."
Upon searching the area where the man was sitting, police also found a home-made slam gun; both weapons confiscated had been loaded.
Jordan Thomas McNabb faces charges of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, , carrying a concealed weapon, unlawful storage of a firearm; two counts each unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a prohibited firearm with ammunition; and three counts prohibited possession contrary to an order.
McNabb will make his first appearance on these charges in Regina Provincial Court on May 15.
