SASKATOON – With help from the Saskatoon Police Service Air Support and Crime Reduction Units, the Guns and Gang Unit arrested a man and woman who had a loaded 9mm handgun on them in a vehicle.
The man was wanted on 23 charges at the time and police believed he had a firearm when they located him. On Dec. 20, around 6:45 p.m., Saskatoon police took the enforcement action on the wanted man, who was in a parked vehicle in the 200 block of Primrose Drive.
The 36-year-old man was previously charged with three counts of possession of a loaded firearm in a vehicle, three counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order, impaired driving, drug trafficking, and other charges.
He was additionally charged with several firearms-related offences.
A 23-year-old woman was also arrested in the vehicle. She faces firearms-related offences. She was found to be in breach of her probation.
