Saskatoon police investigating city's 8th homicide this year

A 25-year-old man was found suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to the Royal University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

On Tuesday morning, people started placing flowers, cards, cigarettes, and a teddy bear at the scene where a 25-year-old man laid after he was shot about 12:50 a.m. on April 16.

SASKATOON – Police are investigating the city’s eighth homicide this year after a man was shot on April 16.

At about 12:50 a.m. police responded to reports of a shooting in the 200 Block of Avenue O South. When police arrived, they found a 25-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to the Royal University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Saskatoon Police Major Crime Section are investigating.

This is the second homicide in as many days. On Monday, Saskatoon police found 24-year-old Melissa Duquette's body in a basement.
