At approximately 11:50 p.m., Dec. 31, 2024, police were called to a report of an injured person at an apartment block in the 100 block of Avenue W South.

PAPS reports that officers were able to remove a sawed-off firearm from Prince Albert streets as a result of a New Year’s Eve check stop.

During the 9:30 p.m. count on New Year's Eve, staff members discovered Glen Fredrick Richard Halkett was missing.

The Prince Albert Police Service thanks members of the public and the media for their assistance in this investigation.

At approximately 3:40 a.m., Dec. 31, police were called to a home in the 400 block of Avenue Q South where a homeowner reported that a break in was in progress.

RCMP say they thank the media and the public for their assistance in this matter. 

During a subsequent search of the vehicle, officers located and seized 262 grams of cocaine, a sum of currency and various pre-packaged drugs.  

Of crystal meth, the convicted man said, “the other ones you can do a bit and go back to your normal life but this one you get hooked, get ringed in, and you’re done.”

On Dec. 27, at approximately 4 p.m., police were dispatched to a home in the zero block of Pine Place for the reports of a weapons offence.
