R.M. of Connaught elects new reeve

Rural municipalities of Nipawin, Moose Range and Barrier Valley held elections as well as the Village of Archerwill.

Lloyd Seymour wins election with 146 votes for reeve of R.M. of Connaught

TISDALE – The R.M. of Connaught went to the polls on Nov. 13 and elected a new reeve. 

Ian Boxall, incumbent for RM of Connaught was upset by Lloyd Seymour. 

Incumbent Ian Boxall received 124 votes and was defeated by Lloyd Seymour with 146 votes. Boxall is the current president of Agricultural Producers of Association of Saskatchewan (APAS).

An election for division 1 councilor was also held and the following are the results: 
Newly Elected - Denis Marchildon (40 votes) 
Defeated - Guy McCrea (36 votes) 

The R.M. of Nipawin No.487 held an election for reeve and council and the following were elected: 

For Reeve 

Elected - David Hluchaniuk 144 votes 

Mike McClelland 125 votes 

Division 3 

Elected - Julian Ens 39 votes 

Craig Griffin 35 votes 

Division 1 

Rose Lecuyer 13 votes 

Steven Tait 5 votes 

The R.M. of Moose Range held an election for Reeve with the following results 

Bud Charko 148 

Elected - Wilfred Woloski 174 votes 

The R.M. of Barrier Valley No. 397 held an election for reeve and the results are as follows:  

Incumbent, Wayne Black elected with 230 votes 

Curtis Lozinksi 35 votes 

The Village of Archerwill held a vote for mayor and the results are as follows: 

Elected – Steven Christianson – 77 votes 

Curtis Lozinski (incumbent) – 16 votes  

The following were elected to council positions: Sheldon Kohlen 82 votes, Bradley Harley 72 votes, Traci Thorpe 53 votes.
