REGINA - Nominations have officially closed and the list of candidates on the municipal and school board ballot is set in Regina.
The nomination deadline was 4 pm on Oct. 9 and candidates had 24 hours to withdraw from the ballot. The ballot is now set for mayor, council, and the public and separate school boards for the Nov. 13 municipal election.
In a number of races there will be plenty of choice for the voters: the mayor’s race in Regina alone has 11 names on the ballot. Also, unlike last year there are no candidates who have been acclaimed, so there is no excuse to stay home: make sure you get out and vote.
