Saskatoon Police renew appeal to public in historical homicide

SASKATOON — After 16 years, the Saskatoon Police Service is renewing its request for public assistance in the 2007 homicide of Paul Theodore Jacobson.

In the afternoon hours of July 3, 2007, police received a call from a citizen reporting to have located a body in a ditch near Central Avenue and Agra Road. Upon arrival, police located 44-year-old Paul Theodore Jacobson deceased. He was later confirmed to be the victim of homicide.

Over the last 16 years, Major Crime investigators have interviewed many people in regard to this case, and have developed suspects. However there are additional individuals who the investigators need to speak to.

Paul Jacobson was last known to have attended a home on the 600 block of University Drive on the evening of July 1, 2007. Witness interviews indicate Jacobson arrived at the home with a female friend, who left the home shortly after arriving

The investigation into this historical homicide remains open. No suspects have been arrested but investigators believe members of the public may have information helpful in solving the case.
