LA LOCHE - Two people have been charged after a cocaine seizure in La Loche.
On Feb. 20 at approximately 5:20 p.m., La Loche RCMP executed two search warrants, one at a residence in La Loche and one at a rural residence outside of La Loche. The search warrants were executed as part of an ongoing drug-trafficking investigation.
At the residences, officers located and seized approximately 99 grams of cocaine and a sum of cash. A man and a woman were arrested at the scenes.
A 39-year-old man, from La Loche, and a 32-year-old woman, from Prince Albert, are each charged with one count, possession for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine.
They are scheduled to appear in La Loche Provincial Court on April 15.
