Candidates confirmed for Battlefords

The last day for hopefuls to submit their nomination papers was Oct. 9.

Ames Leslie was acclaimed for the mayor's seat for the Town of Battleford.

THE BATTLEFORDS  - The candidates are all confirmed for the City of North Battleford and Town of Battleford municipal elections.

Incumbent Ames Leslie has been acclaimed as mayor for the Town of Battleford.

Candidates for the six council seats are: Clayton Lazar, Randall Cote, Josh Pernala, and Mark Coleman, and incumbents Judy Pruden, Doug Laing, Shelley Boutin-Gervais, Kevin Russell, and David George.   

For the City of North Battleford, running for mayor are three hopefuls: Wayne Baptiste (Semaganis), Terence (Terry) Caldwell, and Kelli Hawtin, current city councillor.

Seeking the six council seats are: Alvin Baptiste, Rodney Fedler, Mercy George, Dennis Mercer, Donald Meriam, Dan Suberlak, Alan Wiese, Darryl Williams, and Warren Williams, and incumbents Thomas (Bill) Ironstand, Gregory (Greg) Lightfoot, Kent Lindgren, and Ross MacAngus.
