BJORKDALE — The Bjorkdale School hosted their annual play/track day on Friday, May 27.
Star City and Arborfield schools were in attendance. This was a welcomed day by all, where many events like these have been postponed due to COVID. Kindergartners all the way up to Grade 12 had a beautiful day that had kids smiling all day. It ended with their annual school relay race.
On Monday, June 6, the Bjorkdale Kindergarten, Grade 1 and 2 class helped plant the Memorial Park flowers with myself. The kids all enjoyed planting and were rewarded with some tasty ice cream treats.
Bjorkdale School will be holding their graduation ceremony on Saturday, June 11. Fiona Heneghan-Ecker and Sam Bzowy are the two graduates this year. Fiona will study paleobiology at the University of Saskatchewan this fall and Sam is currently undecided regarding his future plans and is looking to join the workforce. The ceremony will be at 3 p.m. at the Bjorkdale Hall.
The Bjorkdale Under 9 ball team will be playing in Porcupine Plain on Tuesday, June 14. This will be their final game of the season.
