Update: 2 arrests after firearms related incident in Tisdale

Police are asking the public to stay away from the 1100 block of 104th Avenue in Tisdale, refrain from posting police locations and to expect increased police presence in the community.

UPDATE Nov. 27, 2:44 p.m.: Two occupants of a Tisdale home have been arrested as the result of a firearms related incident.

Saskatchewan RCMP said Tisdale RCMP received a report of an armed individual at a residence on 104th Avenue in Tisdale at around 4:50 a.m. on Nov. 27.

Tisdale RCMP, with the assistance of Saskatchewan RCMP’s Critical Incident Response Team, made the arrests without incident.

The RCMP said increased police presence will continue for a short time as police execute a search warrant at the residence.

 

TISDALE —  RCMP are currently investigating a firearms related incident located on the 1100 block of 104th Avenue in Tisdale.

Police are asking the public to stay away from the area, refrain from posting police locations and to expect increased police presence in the community.

"We will provide an update on this investigation as soon as we are able," Saskatchewan RCMP said in a media release. "If an increased risk to public safety is identified, we will notify the public."
