Three seek mayor's position for the Town of Nipawin

Residents of Nipawin are heading to the polls Wed. Nov. 13.

The Town of Nipawin will head to the polls for both mayor and council positions.

NIPAWIN - The Town of Nipawin has three mayoral candidates, including incumbent Marlon Zacharias.

Current councillors Geoff Stewart, Sheila Seiferling and Stacey Vik are seeking re-election.

Others running for councillor are Les Blair, Brenda Beliveau, Lisa Fast, Reg Lariviere, John Dempster, Kylee Neudorf, Linden Lundback, Laura Nycholat, who ran for mayor last election, Tyler Shore and Joyce Watts.

The Town of Nipawin will have advance polls Nov. 5-10 – noon at Pineview Lodge for the Lodge residents and staff and hospital patients and staff. Another advance poll is planned for Nov. 7 at the Town Office, 210 2nd Avenue East, 5-8 p.m.

Michelle Sorenson, Returning Officer, said residents can request mail-in ballots but must do so before by Oct. 29. For more information on the election, click here to keep informed on important election information
