Mme Blais' Grade 7 class and Mme Weber's Grade 6/7 class organized a Children Only Christmas Store prior to Christmas at Ecole Monseigneur Blaise Morand.
The items sold were new or gently used items that were donated by parents and teachers. These items were sold anywhere from 25 cents to $5. The store is open to children only and once the gifts are selected they are wrapped and tagged so the gifts are kept secret until Christmas.
With the money raised, the students chose to buy much needed items from Worldvision. This year the money raised went towards medicine for 10 children, immunizing a community, supplying a classroom with school supplies, school feeding for 50 children, warm clothing for 50 children, feeding a hungry Canadian famil and literacy for children.
The students and staff look forward to doing this exciting fundraiser again next year.
