As fall approaches we are experiencing much cooler evenings and there is a noticeable difference in the length of the days. Corn has at last begun to ripen in the garden. It just needed the warmer weather we are presently enjoying.
Christine Pike accompanied Eileen Evans on a trip to Salmon Arm, B.C. during the past week. While there, Eileen spent time with her daughter Kathy, husband Chris and their children Kaitlyn and Evan. Christine spent time with her sister Eileen and husband Bill Lamont. Eileen had eye surgery while Christine was there and is progressing well.
On the trip, they also spent a couple of evenings in Calgary, Alta. with Eileen's son John, his wife Calynda and their son John Jr. and visited with Joanne (Evans) and Ben Rawlinson at Kelowna, B.C.
The trip was an interesting one. They noted the progress that is being made in improving the highways through the mountains.
