Meota was a-buzz this weekend with people and vehicles everywhere. There are several garage and yard sales going on as well as the church sales on Saturday that went over well. The golf course appears to be busy as the weather co-operates nicely.
American milk is showing up in our grocery stores and I hope we Canadians can do our part in supporting Canadian dairy farmers. They are part of the team that built our country and I have not heard of a shortage of Canadian milk. USA milk is called Fair Life and has a different packaging.
The concession stand at the beach is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Friday and weekends from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. they have a great selection of ice creams and a wide variety of foods, so try them out.
The hotel cafe is open in the Steak Pit Monday and Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Other days it is open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Duplicate bridge played in the Do Drop In, June 24, found top scores by Jette and Terence DaSilva, Mary Greenwald and Joyce Antoine, Gerry Craig and Lorraine Manning. June 25 in the city top score went to Vern Iverson and Gerry Craig, followed by Joeanne and Rudy Wiens and then Trudy and Roland Verret. June 27, again in the city, top score went to Jean Lawes and Fraser Glen, then Vern Iverson and David Sharpe and then Margaret Dyck and Catriona Winterholt.
Canasta was played in the Do Drop In June 28 and top, very high score of 53,390, went to Vern Iverson and Nestor Fransoo. Second were Iris Lawrence (Leduc, Alta.) and Lorna Pearson, third were Marion Ottas and Terry Neale. There were four tables in play and as always a nice tasty snack bar to choose your treats from, afterwards.
