Loni Schmidt, daughter of Lee and Karen Schmidt, and Lou Legualt, son of Carol Swaile, were wed June 14 with their "toes in the sand" at the Barcelo Maya Palace Puerto Aventuras, Mexico with 31 of their friends and family there to join them for a week of celebrations and fun in the sun.

They extended the celebration to Ruddell June 25 for a garden party with 125 guests at the family farm, Schmidtville. Guests came from Montreal, Prince George, Dawson Creek, Hinton, Grand Prairie and various Saskatchewan cities. Loni and Lou will reside in Edmonton Alta., where Loni is employed with the Alberta Hospital and Lou is a chemical salesman in the oil industry.

The Legends (2) Grand Old Opry Style is coming back to Maymont. Watch for more information at a later date. Make sure not to miss this one as last year was a sell out. We will be having a surprise guest visit.

People have asked where Darrel and Saski are going to live. I was able to talk to Saski and she said, "We have no idea where we are going to live. We haven't found a suitable motor home yet nor have we any idea what we want to do next. We certainly will not live in a house anymore while we are touring. The up keep and worry around it is not fun. We will keep you updated "

My apology to Tony Lavelle, for getting his name wrong in the paper last week. I have put another picture in the paper with Tony and his family. The only one not immediate family would be Carl Ross on the far left hand side. As we had so much talent at the July 1 jam session at Glenburn Park, many pictures were taken I was unable to put all the pictures in the paper.
