"Transmitting Light" is the featured exhibit in the Chapel Gallery's Window Salon until the end of July.

Don't miss the reception for the "Transmitting Light" exhibition this Saturday, July 16 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Chapel Gallery.

The artists will discuss their inspiration and how they created the final piece from the concept.

The pieces in this collection were conceived of during a workshop held in March. Local artists have used a variety of materials (everything from chain link to felt to tissue paper) to create their own interpretations of the mercurial nature of the concept of light.

Each piece is installed in a window well and uses the light coming through the window to accentuate and bring new and different dimensions to the work. This exhibition will continue in the Window Salon to the end of July.

For more information please contact the Chapel Gallery at 445-1757. The Chapel Gallery is open daily from 1 to 5 and is located at the Don Ross Centre, 891-99th Street. Support for the gallery is provided by the Saskatchewan Arts Board and the City of North Battleford.
