This evening District Deputy Thelma Romphf made her official visit, where she announced her judiciary committee for this year are Joan Harrison, Susan Kraft and Dorothea Hocher. We were informed the Nipawin Elks & Royal Purple Peace 100 Ski Do Rally event will be Feb. 23 and 24. This will be the final one after many years, due to lack of interest.

The St. Walburg Eagles asked for support. As we have given in the past, we voted to give $250 worth of advertising for this season.

A letter of thanks was received from the St. Walburg School for our contribution to Rachel's Challenge. Also received was a thank you from the Knopf family.

There was one application for membership and we welcomed Lillian Nasby with our initiation ceremony.

Catering reported the next month to be a busy one. We thank the individuals for putting their trust in Royal Purple catering. As mentioned before, besides the Purple Cross Fund and various necessary lodge requirements, all other money stays in the community. Speaking of which, recently there was a fire disaster in town. Purple Cross Relief Fund, as well as the local Purple Cross, will come forth with help.

Also, it was voted to give $1,000 towards the school playground equipment.

The sunshine committee reported several members are ailing and will be visited soon. Get well wishes to all. Many thanks to the crew who showed up to "house clean" the kitchen. A job well done and appreciated.

Our curling team consisting of Georgina Schneider, Judy Helperl, Kim Rendle and Yvonne Beeching headed to Conquest Nov. 16-18 where they represented this lodge at provincial Royal Purple curling.

Kim Rendle, Dorothea Hocher, Judy Helperl, Jean Steinacher and Martha Johnson volunteered to be the committee for Ladies Night Out. These ladies will make sure we have a wonderful evening. Keep in mind the date is the first Saturday in May -- May 4, 2013.

PHRL Dorothea Hocher was presented with her PHRL's pin and her 20-year service pin. Congratulations.

Lynn Clark and Inge Knopf contributed to the November birthdays fund. Several members attended the Remembrance Day Service. Memorial Day will be observed Dec. 2 at 4 p.m. with a potluck supper for members and family to follow, and the Christmas party following the supper.

The Royal Purple Dec. 10 meeting begins with a potluck supper at 6:30 p.m., followed by the meeting and, later, the members' Christmas party. Please remember your secret friend, and this is when your new secret friend will be picked. Be prepared to make the treasurer's job easier and have your money ready to pay dues that night.
