The News-Optimist got a press release at 4:52 p.m. from Living Sky School Division:
On the afternoon of Dec. 1, an incident occurred near North Battleford Comprehensive High School, and a hold and secure was initiated. All exterior school doors were locked, and traffic in and out of the school was monitored. The police were contacted.
The press release also states classes weren't interrupted, and there was no direct threat to school and staff.
The Living Sky office closed before the News-Optimist could get a comment.
