A fundraiser is on seeking donations for North Battleford’s dog park.

The GoFundMe campaign is organized by Michele Harris and has set a $3,000 fundraising target, with $1,225 raised as of Wednesday afternoon.

According to their campaign page, they are “looking for donations to be used only for the dog parks needs.  For example:  poop bags, garbage bags, gas / oil for water pumps (when the park is a swimming pool and the guys pump it out so it is usable) gas / oil for lawn mowers, and heavy duty garbage bags for the bins.”

Right now supplies for the park are being purchased from out of pocket. The hope is to raise enough money so those supplies can be paid for and provide a bit of a break for those individuals making those purchases.

“We all love the dog park and the fact that our fur babies have a place to go to run free and make so many friends.  Please help so we can continue to keep it looking good and well taken care of.”
