Logan's Audio video has announced it is expanding during its 25th anniversary year in the Battlefords.

The store has recently undergone extensive renovation in preparation for a Bell Mobility store to go in that location.

It will be called Logan's Bell Store and is to be located right between Logan's Audio Video and Logan's Sleep World on 100th Street in North Battleford. It will feature the latest cell phones, plans and accessories from Bell.

The business says it plans to open in early August and will be managed by Mitchell Wentworth, who is moving back to the Battlefords from Saskatoon.

According to owner John Logan, it's a way to provide a choice to those in the Battlefords.

"We saw an opportunity to challenge the status quo," he said in a media release. "The people of the Battlefords should have a choice when it comes to their cellular provider, and we believe in sharing this option with them."

It was Aug. 2 1988 that Logan started Logan's Audio Video in the city. Since then the business has expanded to include Logan's Day Spa, now in its 10th year, and Logan's Sleep World, now in its second year.

Logan's daughter Beth Walls, who is general manager of Logan's Group of Companies, said in a statement that the business has come a long way.

"From our meager roots as a small audio video store, to the expansive and diverse group of businesses we now maintain, it's just amazing to see how far we've come in 25 years."
