Firefighters rescue trapped tenant

North Battleford Fire and Emergency Services experienced a break in route Friday at about 4:30 p.m. when they were called upon to initiate a rescue.

North Battleford Fire and Emergency Services experienced a break in route Friday at about 4:30 p.m. when they were called upon to initiate a rescue.

The victim was a tenant of a suite on Ross Crescent, who was locked out and trapped on a second floor balcony.

Firefighters used an extension ladder to help the person down.

A two-car collision at the intersection of South Railway Avenue and Highway 4 just below Don Ross Centre Saturday at about 7:15 p.m. had firefighters on the scene. On vehicle was on its side leaking fluid.

NBFES official say the drivers of both vehicles were transported to Battlefords Union Hospital.

EMS also attended a minor two-vehicle crash Friday at the intersection of 11th Avenue and 101st Street just before 3 p.m. Damage was minimal and no one was injured.
